The Two Types Of Stacking Chairs

Stacking chairs have been widely used in a lot of applications where mass seating is required such as during large events, banquets, school assemblies, graduation rites, and PTA meetings. In addition, we can usually see some stacking chairs being used in some commercial restaurants especially those with al fresco settings. Being so, there is no doubt that this type of chair has gained so much popularity these days. But being popular as they are, there are two common types of that are commonly used – metal stacking chairs and the plastic stacking chairs. Although both types vary by their material composition, their configuration is basically the same.

To recall, stacking chairs are among the creative seating innovations in the modern society alongside the also popular folding chairs. They have been made to provide a ready solution for large seating requirements in a variety of situations. What made these chairs stand out is the fact that, by their design, they can be stacked on top of one another in piles of 15 or more. With that, they would not need large spaces to store them when they are not in use.

Metal stackable chairs are basically made from alloys in which their frames are made of. In some designs, these chairs have padded seat pans and backrests for comfortable seating especially during long periods of usage. Prices of these chairs usually ranges from $30 up to $72 for a 2-set package. Actually what made their prices vary is the fact that there are various models differing in sizes, features, and height. Furthermore, there are other metal stacking chair models that could fetch up to $140 for a set of two. These are the ones considered to be the heavy duty models in which heavier types of alloys are used in the frames of these chairs.

On the other hand, plastic stacking chairs are mainly characterized by their seat pans and back rests made from plastic resins. Some are designed in mono bloc configurations which are lightweight yet durable enough to support the weight of an average individual. Generally, plastic stackable chairs cost much less than their metal cousins. Their prices usually range from $20 to $50 for the standard models. However though, there are also other models which cost $70 up to $200 or more. These are the ones that have extra features such as armrests or are bigger in sizes such as the popular stacking office chairs.

Looking for a stacking chair, either metal or plastic, is almost just a walk in the park these days. A big number of reliable, reputable, and highly trusted sellers have online presence; hence, getting to do the canvassing and buying can just be done quickly and conveniently. Of course, the old way via the leg work route can still be done if you opt for it.
