Breakfast Nook Chairs Can Be Versatile Seating Solutions

When you are choosing the furniture for your dining room there is no question about what kind of seating arrangement you will have. Dining rooms have tables with chairs. However, in the breakfast nook, even though the room is also used for eating meals and gathering, there are several options when it comes to your seating arrangements. In the breakfast nook you might find chairs, benches, stools, or any combination of the three. Because the kitchen is a more relaxed and informal gathering spot, you can have more informal seating arrangements.

Of course, chairs are still the most popular choice. Various styles of chairs can be had at reasonable prices. If you prefer, you could also utilize some nice folding chairs too. They do not cost much and can also be used almost anywhere in the house. Most small kitchen nooks will have a square or round table with four chairs around it. If you have chairs in your breakfast nook, then the seating will probably be more comfortable for guests. If people do not know each other well, it can sometimes be uncomfortable sitting together on a bench. Also, stools can be hard to get in and out of. Chairs are a good safe bet.

The next most popular breakfast nook seating option is benches. Most breakfast nook set, especially corner breakfast nooks, come with at least some bench seating. The benches have many attributes. First, you can generally fit more people on benches than you can fit on the chairs that take up the same amount of space. Second, many benches come equipped with under the seat storage so that you have extra storage in the breakfast nook.

Stools are also common in the breakfast nook in two situations. First, if you have a very small eating area and only have room for a table for two, then it is common to find a high café style table with stools. The other situation where stools are used is when you have a kitchen island that is designed to be your breakfast nook table. Seating at the island should be high enough so that it is comfortable so stools are necessary.

Some breakfast nooks or kitchens use a combination of the three types of seating described above. It is very common to have a corner breakfast nook with an L-shaped bench and chairs on the opposite sides of the table. Also, many kitchens have their normal breakfast nook seating in addition to counter seating at the island.
